Default Question replacing rotors

I need to replace my front rotors, and I'm looking at my options...

Brembo solid front rotors $61 apiece
Powerslot rotors, several options $126 & $134 apiece
Brembo slotted or crossdrilled for $246 apair

How much better are the more expensive Brembos and Powerslots then the $61 Brembos? Are there any other options available for under $300 right now.

What pads are you using with the Aimco's? And are the Extreme's just a crossdrilled/slotted version of the $38 rotors?

I've not run the autozone rotors, but I love my Brembo OEM's. I can't seem to warp them (race pads eventually chew through them...but those pads will eat anything, and at least they are not $250 each or anything like that). YOu will gain nothing by spending more money, crossdrilled rotors are "pretty" and no longer needed for performance....

THese may help....

I am well familiar with the modern day use of cross drilled and slotted rotors. The primary reason for asking if they were the same rotor was to verify the solid rotor was the same design and thus a better buy, knowing there were no performance gains to be had from hacking the rotor up. (Ok, hacking may be a bit harsh, but only a bit)

Yes, they are the same rotor as the Brembo blanks. SO, you are correct, they are a good deal. Ah...the answer you were looking for (sorry for getting to it the hard way...).

The Brembo OEMs (non-slotted or crossdrilled) are on backorder at Tire Rack. Any other recommendations on someplace to purchase them? I've found a few other places through Google, but the prices are a bit higher and I'm not sure about the speed and service of these places. I want to get them ordered today.

Strano Parts. Great service, very personable. Thanks for the link. New rotors and pads on the way. Oh, also ordered a Lou's short stick while I was at it this afternoon.
