Nah the slots aren't all the way through, you cant cross over the internal veins in the rotor or the structural integrity of the rotor would be shot. You'd be better off with the slotted, they act like scrapers and give you a fresh pad face everytime you hit the brakes but at the cost of your pads not lasting as long.

Why risk it, buy some quality blank rotors + good pads.

Why not go for these instead?

They're pretty popular.
One of the sponsors, I believe BSI Brakes, sells a whole package for $299 - cryogenically hardened rotors (drilled/slotted or just slotted) with Hawk HPS pads. I think for another $50 he gives you stainless steel braided brake lines. Check him out.

You can't tell quality from the pics.
Heres a view you need to see, unfortunately most sponsor specials here start out with a piece of garbage like the rotor on the left. And need I say any different about stuff on ebay.

I found somewhere on this site that slotted or drilled and slotted rotors are only for looks unless your a hardcore auto-x or road race guy. Simply because the slots and holes are made to expel braking gases to reduce heat and brake fade. Well alot of manufactures are producing pads that are "pre-burnished" and get rid of the need for drilled and slotted rotors... Just my.02

Even if you get someone who tried them and said they like them, how much can you assume from that one opinion that the rotors are top notch? Anytime you go with an unknown its always a risk you take for anything. Blank rotors are the best for performance. Brembo blanks are not that expensive and well proven to hold up well. If you don't like blanks and want the "look" and "appearance of being fast" (even though the opposite is true), then you can always give it a try. I'm sure in most cases you'll be fine. When Brembo's aren't that much more money, it's a no brainer for me.

If you like the slotted look, but want around the issues of cheap rotors, and slotted rotors that give you stress risers, then check these ATE PremiumOne rotors out:
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7
Why are these better????? Well--
1. They are ATE rotors, not junk Chinese stuff, but quality German parts that most German cars use as OEM (like BMW, VW, Mercedes, etc.).
2. The slots do not have sharp edges, and do not run to the edge of the rotor. These things eliminate the sharp points that act as stress risers
3. The slots are actually very shallow, and are technically wear indicators. When the rotor is down to minimum service thickness the slots actually disappear to show you the rotor is in need of changing. The shallow slots minimize the street to the fact of the rotor. And in fact you'll find ATE only makes these rotors and not blanks for this car... These are built around this concept.
4. The ATE's are also coated, which some could care less about, but some really like for the price as the hats and edges don't rust.

Great. Very much the same quality, but with the coating and the slotted look some prefer over plain old blanks. I will not sell stuff I will not use myself.
