Could be a wheel hub, or baring as our cars have pretty crappy ones...

Mine pops when you apply the brakes going really slow. Replaced both tie rod ends and both front caliper brackets(pins were rusted in place)

Hub, swaybar endlinks, balljoints and steering rack are to come soon.

Damn high mileage DD

LOL! I would think these guys would know being tech apprentices. j/k guys! Ok first thing is first. Get the car on an incline or decline. If the car pops when changing forward or reverse then it's lower balljoints. If it is more inclined to pop going over bumps however it could be the uppers but they rarely go bad. Next if that isnt where it is comming from get the front jacked up in the air with the steering wheel locked. Support the front of the car sturdy as yopu are about to be doing some pulling. Once setup grab left wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock positions and try to jerk left to right. If there is ANY movement, your tie rod ends are shot and must be replaced. My brother's was squeaking and not popping when turning going very slow. Turns out his lower ball joint was shot but it did not pop. You'll figure it out once you start really looking into it.
