Lightbulb C6 Z06 to Trans Am Brake idea!

So i had a dream about this last night & could not sleep because of it!
Everyone knows what the C6 Z06 front and rear brake calipers look like...
I had an idea to take away all the red and white paint off (sand blast, or whatever), fill in where it says "Corvette" and where the caliper has the two and three rings with a tig welder (filler rod that is the same material as the caliper), have the filler milled down to the caliper and take a hair off the caliper, then map out how "Trans Am" could be milled into the caliper & do it, then powder coat!
What do you all think? IMO it is a little $ but would look sweet with some CCWs ect.

it would be a one-of-a-kind setup, but it would run you about 3k or more to do. not worth it, especially considering that C6 Z06 guys arent even that happy with the setups.

I know it "shouldn't", but I'd be afraid the filler would crack away after repeated heat cycles, and flexing the caliper.

welding cast aluminum really sucks. Any trash that is in the pores of the metal will get pulled out by the AC current causing a really dirty looking weld. If it is welded properly, it shouldn't crack out. I wouldn't waste my money on those calipers. With that amount of money you could get Bear, SSBC, Willwood or something of that quality.

you also run the risk of burning up the internals inside the brakes because you would have to get the aluminum hot as hell to weld it... personally i think it would be bad *** just in red and saying corvette on it.

I love the concept. What about a good paint job on stock calipers? Or maybe as others have suggested starting with a good quality brake kit and go from there.
