What suspension set up?!

What suspension set up?!
I'm thinking of replacing the worn out springs, shocks and struts in my car. My goal is to have something that rides smoother (takes bumps better) while still being decent for drag racing. Someone suggested getting new, factory springs and an adjustable shock/strut.
I could use some input here from you more experienced suspension guys.
The whole idea (since the car is a daily driver) is to make it smoother and more comfortable to drive, while having a set up that assists but is not fully dedicated to drag racing.
Ideas?

wow its only the 2nd day of the new year and ive seen 3 posts reguarding shocks already... anyways, koni's seem to be the only shocks that are good for comfort and drag... really hard to mix those together though imo.

Whilst that is true, I've seen cars with their original springs with over 150K (even 200K) on them being driven on some pretty rough roads. With the exception of some free spring height lost, their spring rates are retained.
I still say with what you've proposed...it's best to start with shocks and see how it goes from there.

I was thinking about the KYB AGX shocks. Would they be good for stock size springs?

They shall fit the stock springs (provided they're not cut). AFA what you're going to do with shocks, you may want to research other options as well, at least to make sure what you're expecting for ride vs. performance.

I replaced my front Bilsteins with Koni's on the lower perch. Now THAT made for a rough ride. I thought the Bilsteins were comfy.

Welcome to the world where not is all it seems.
The above few posts illustrates perfectly why I do my level best to talk to all my customers instead of relying on e-mail and internet opinion. Everyone is different and has a different take on any possible thing you could discuss.
While it's rare to hear of someone thinking Bilstein's are too hard, it happens. There are also those that feel they lack damping, and others feel they are perfect, and everything in between. What's more is RevGTO has a similar thing happen to him with his Koni's and with his wants. While firm, it's not common for many to consider them to rough especially if the settings aren't sky-high (and his aren't from what I remember). Meanwhile Rev is surprised that Ironxcross didn't love the Bilstein's.... See what I mean?
It's also worth noting that not all Bilstein's are the same. In fact there are two very different valvings of "Bilstein HD" out there for this car. Add those to the SLP's, and the Revalves I used to do, and the Strano Spec setup (not revalved in the front, but an alternate rear production valving not the current messed up psuedo deCarbon rears everyone else sells) and saying "I had Bilstein's" is about like telling someone you drive a GM car, but that's all you say. Camaro, Firebird, Chevette, Corvette?????
