Don't know about the "burning up" thing but yeah, for some dopey reason (probably for the sake of a few pennies) the rotors on one side of the car are actually vented in the wrong direction.

Meanwhile we're supposed to buy their "paper" on how well slotted rotors work when the same company uses an improperly vaned rotor on one side to cut costs.... That my fellow LS1'ers is much more harmful to cooling than drilling is helpful to it.

That is the C6 ZO6 I take it? Wow, they actually have the directional vanes going the wrong way

I have had this same coversation with a friend of mine that drilled/slotted rotors are not as good as blanks. His response was that LeMans race cars and such have them, for which I had no come back to. So I said, "Cause Sam Strano said!". I think I will use that statement if I am ever in court. It should hold up.

Your friend needs to watch more LeMans.

That is true, and we get tons of request for brakes for these for that reason. Sadly not all aftermarket performance brake manufactures have much to offer for the new Z06, however the ones that i have seen are running correctly vented rotors. And this brings up a good point about their performance research and their product. I personally think that it is just GM is just trying to save what little money they have. The down side is it results in poor product on one of their flagship cars.
