actually, I have to say, I had some sportlines and I sold them to a friend on this board that pulled 1.40's 60ft. times and said he pulled an 11 flat in the 1/4. (this was with stock decarbon shocks) You can't say that they don't launch good...Matt, if you read this back me up here. Just wanted to give a real-life account of what they CAN DO.

How did I get drug into this??????????? I think it's funny how folks think I have "fanboi's". I almost feel like I should apologize for making a setup that works so well... but I won't.
Sportlines are looks springs. Do they "handle" ok? I guess that depends on your definition or understanding of what handling is, and that seems to vary person to person. Given a nice perfect road they don't work badly, pretty well balanced. Trouble is few of those roads exist anywhere and there are road imperfections most everywhere which is where those springs really suffer in comparison. If you never saw a Color TV, then some 20" thing from 20 years ago would look pretty good, right? What folks think works well vs. what doesn't is largely a function of experience and comparison.
I ran a lot of different combinations before zeroing in on what I thought was best. Most folks do not have that ability. And because the stock dampers are soooo bad, it's true that almost anything is a pretty good improvement.

might just just cut an extra set of springs to get the exact height i want. i believe i have hotchkis springs on my ss right now, and its not low enough. the strano springs might handle/ride great, but i have to have the "look" first. i like the dms or intrax springs but cant find anyone that sells em

I had sportlines first with KYB adjustables. Look was amazing ride sucked to the point wear you just couldn't stand hitting the bump stops one more time! Pro kit was next. Better ride but still not real good. BMR was the next spring.
Look is still amazing and the ride is night and freaking day!!
Still this is a best bang for your buck!!
One day I will have Konis and strano's on mine and stop messing around !!
