That one is fine. Or you can rent one from Autozone and get your money back when you're done.

+1 for the autozone rental. It's free as long as you return it when your done. You'll probably only need it to disassemble your stock front springs and you'll find that most aftermarket springs are a little shorter and you'll be able to re-assemble without it.

On the rear, support the car in the rear on jack stands, raise the rear up a little, remove the lower shock nuts, pull the shock's stud out of the axle, lower axle, springs will fall out.

Is there a better one then the one from auto zone? That is the one I used and I had a tough time getting the thing in between the coils. I think I had to use a hammer and a screw driver to slip them in place.

i had a similar problem too until i realized that you need to take the rod out then they just roll right in.

without seeing it in person it's hard to tell with harbor freight stuff. the design looks good and being able to compress them on car would have made cutting my springs alot easier

STAY AWAY FROM THE CHEAP CHINESE HARBOR FREIGHT STUFF!!!!

I bought a power steering pulley puller from them and it had so much casting flash on it that it rendered the tool useless. Remember compressed coil springs store alot of energy and if they let loose they have enough energy to KILL you if you happen to have your face/head in the wrong location. Don 't skimp on a tool could result in death or permanent disability if it fails.

The autozone one works just fine. Yes you pay full price for it first. Just use a credit card and they will refund the full amount back to the card when you return it.

yup that's why i said i'd have to see it in person. the design looks good but if it breaks it could be really bad. the trick to the autozone one was putting the edge of one block in a vise to hold it still. trying to crank it and hold it sucked
