Which drag shock for me?
My wife offered to get me some springs/shocks for my camaro for my birthday. ive done some searching and cant find the answer im looking for. My car is a daily driven street car, full weight, but weekend track car. Im looking for a spring/shock that is made for drag racing but doesnt make the car ride like a tank on the highway. i know i will lose handling and thats fine, i have a bike for that. ive been looking at QA1 and strange, SA and DA, but not sure which is best for me. money is kinda tight so no afco's unfortunately. id say my car weighs 3400 Ibs or so.
would the SA or DA be better for me
and do i need the 275, 300, or 325 Ibs spring?

A few ideas for you!
Hello
Both QA1 and Strange are a very good choice! I would recommend you going with the double adjustable and going with 300lb front spring due to it giving you better weight transfer. Below is a link to show you what all UMI Performance has to offer!

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help!
Thanks

I'd suggest Strange Engineering Shocks over QA1. I feel QA1 has slipped in quality. When Hal used to own them, they were better. We do offer both brands no matter which way you choose. Strange is also less expensive which is a plus. A 300# spring is a good choice. You could consider Strange's linear setup using hypercoils as well.
Double adjustable will offer you more control between the track and street. Obviously, the double adjustable is more expensive...so you need to choose which best fits your budget.

Call Eric at Midwest Chassis. Just got all 4 DA's last week and he had the best prices. And will help you with your setup when you got questions. I was in the middle of my install this past sat evening and called him and he took the time to answer the phone. Something that you will find very hard to come by when most sponsors shops are closed on the weekends. I would run the 300-325 spring. 275 is for really light weight drag only type setups from what I was told.

Do you plan to keep the car at that weight? If so, I would say go with the
325's for a full weight car. Stay away from the 275's they are to light.
Obviously DA are the better option but if money is an issue I'd go SA.
I can't speak for QA1 but Strange has a great product and their tech line has always worked well for me.
Good luck,
