well if i have 56mm offset wheels with say a 1" spacer wont that work?
How wide are the wheels in inches?? The offset clearance is directly related to the wheel width. A 9.5" wheel with a 56mm offset will not clear without spacers.

A 1" spacer is quite a lot, it may make the wheels stick way too far out.

i think the bolt size is a bigger and it requires you to drill out new holes.....i think that's what they said

okay so what im thinking is this:
if i buy calipers+rotors from a 2010 camaro, the bolts for the calipers will have to be drilled out a little, but the stock 2010 front rotors will work(14 inch), but the 2010's rear rotors are 14.4 inch, while the c6 z06's are 13.4, i will only need c6 z06 rotors for the rear. correct? or will the bigger 2010's rotors fit?

the bolts for the calipers is 14mm, and i think the bolt size on out spindle is 13mm.......i think im not sure about the size. but i do recall someone saying that you would have to make the bolt size on the spindle bigger.

I know it's been asked but I can't find a straight up answer. The fronts I will do just like the tutorial but how can I do the rears? I have the stock 10 bolt. Does it require a new rear axle?

Hardly anyone feels a need to upgrade the rears. If they do, it's mainly for cosmetic reasons.

Keep in mind that no one has come up with a cheap big brake kit for the rear. Only the front. There are brackets out there that will let you run the larger diameter vette rear rotors with a 2 piston caliper. The only 4 piston rear caliper kits I've seen are from Baer and other brake companies which are pricey.

You can check EB Millers site - flynbye dot com
also Kore3 dot com.

I know but I'm **** when it comes to appearance and I'm going with 19" wheels all around so I really feel I "need" the big brakes all around for it to look good. It would look so much better with brembos on all 4 like the 10' SS or c6's cts-v's etc. Heck I've seen newer honda's with brembos on all 4 on 7" wide wheel

Any chance you could get the complete diameter of the rotor AND caliper? Thanks

Kore3 will make a bracket for the rear using a 13in rotor. Email them, its a one off. They have done it once before.

I posted the info earlier in this thread...the brackets will be expensive if you want a 3 channel. Also you can not run the TCS and parking brake simultaneously (must choose one or the other), or if you run neither, the 2 channel will be cheaper.

However, that should leave more than enough room for caliper clearance.

If you have any other questions about the upgrade just let me know!!
Question on the spacer, I ordered mine and i just got it today. Try to test fit the spacer to the camaro hob, does your have gap between the hob and spacer well mine does about 1/4 inch is it normal?

The spacer does not go directly on the hub, it goes in front of the rotor.

So install your rotor on the hub first, then slide on the spacer, then slide on wheel - in that order.

This might be slightly off topic but I thought it was worth a mention...........
The Nov. GM High Tech Performance mag I just got in the mail yesterday (the one with the blue GMPP LS9 4rth Gen SS on cover) has an ongoing project 4rth Gen they nicknamed "STi Killer". In this issue they go through a complete install on that car of the CTS-V 6 piston Brembo calipers on stock Zo6 rotors.
Its not exactly what were talking about here , but it kinda is.........
I thought it was worth the read. It even tells you what spacer & what wheel worked for them..........

I think a 18x9.5 +40mm wheel will fit just fine without spacers though...... as long as the spokes are flush & don't curve in towards the caliper. I just wonder if they will stick out beyond my fenders with that offset........

Ive seen 18x9.5 and 19x9.5 with +38mm offsets fit almost perfectly flush as u can get.

You don't know how helpful it is to see someone post that........ seriously!
I did the math & measuring but I'm still kinda timid about shelling out the $$$ to order wheels & having them show up & not fit . So its nice to see that someone has seen it with their own eyes work!

Wish there was an option for larger rears.....running around with 18's on the rear with stock calipers & the 6 piston calipers on the front kinda reminds me of one of those dudes at the gym that have a swole upper body & have chicken legs.................

Ya if you do some searching about wheels that are flush youll see some visuals. Ive seen Fikse wheels with a 38mm offset up front and it looked like thats how it shoulda came from the factory.
