I know this has gotten WAY out of hand, and I was reading along for laughs, but post #60 takes the cake! ....I'll put on a bigger rear bar, because my friend and I race on a deserted 4 laner, and run it up to 150, and I need more stability....

i used to disconnect the sway bar at the track then reconnect it before i left the track.

Having your sway bar connected is not costing you as much as you think it is

look at changing your set-up.

Remove the rear LCAs, too. They'll help with the 60' times. And, since you're not worried about corners, you don't really need them.

I agree. Remove the LCAs, torque arm, and panhard rod. This gives the rearend plenty of room to articulate and rotate resulting in 1.4 60 fts.

Actually that happened because he used the wrong lug nuts. They were really close in size and they actually torqued to 100 ft lbs but there were just different enough that they all came loose.

Out of curiosity,if you remove the front bar and put in a large rear bar,it willmake the car handle worse?I wasn't planning on doin this, just making sure I understood.and for the record I do understand that removing the front bar will hurt handling

This thread is so damn funny....op you win the Darwin award...I even like how when you click on 1997 pontiac firebird next to his name his mods are different then his sig.....either way if he does own a trans am he isn't hitting 150 with the supposed 3.90 gears he says he has in his sig with an a4 unless he is revving it out pretty good...but then again the only thing fast the op has is his imagination so we better quit picking on him.....

well now i have 3.90 gears, before i had 3.42s. i updated my sig after this thread so quit bein a dumbass. all the people that posted on this were to stupid to give me any advice so i figured it out myself. the car handles awsome without a front sway bar now. but of course it would only be better with it on. but it is a drag car now and im not worried about handeling as much and thought i would try to help out the other thousands of people that run without sway bars. you people talk like bad asses on here like your tough or something. get a life for real. im just trying to help others out.
