Default Alignment after lowering?

So I'm waiting on my shocks to come in and then I can install my pro kit. My question is will I have to get an alignment after I install the springs and shocks? Reason being that I just did uppers and lowers and tie rod ends and new tires and just got my alignment done on friday! I know I probably should've waited until I did EVERYTHING. But am I going to need another one? Please let me know!

Depends on how it feels after you drive it the first time.. If it pulls hard one way or another than yes youll need an alignment.. Or if your steering wheel is turned to either side and your going straight. I just installed koni 4/4's and ground control coilovers and my car doesnt pull at all 2inches of drop as well.. trust me i was amazed.. .. Im a auto-xer so im going to get it aligned anyway but it all depends on the vehicle.

I hope I don't need another alignment. I literally just got it done Friday. I'm hoping nothing happens. The only thing I'm worried about is taking the spindle off the upper control arm. I don't think anything should get funked up on that part. I just had the entire front end off last weekend so I'll be pretty pissed if I need another one. But thanks for the info! Anybody else?

And isn't it only when you mess with the steering components ie: tie rod ends that it would need an alignment?

call them up and tell them that the alignment feels off after you get all the shocks and springs put on. most the time they will make an adjust ment for free if you have them do it soon enough. just splash some muddy water on the new shocks and springs to make them look like they have some miles on them when you go back.

you will need a new alignment, your camber will be different, and you will need to correct for that.

I was actually thinking about that. Probably going to do that.

Now that I think about it, the pro kit and the bilsteins are both used so it won't be a problem looking used and not new.

I already called my buddy that works there and told him that it doesn't feel right. He said bring it in and they'll take care of it. Although I'm hoping the tech doesn't noticed that it's lowered. haha

Yes. This.

I just lowered mine and it needs to be re-aligned. The steering is just fine but you can see how the camber is off. Im waiting till I get my Koni's put on before I have it done though. I have Stranos with stock shocks on now.

Static camber will be more, indeed. But that in of itself is not really a bad thing.

The product of additional negative camber, though, is toe setting changes. As you change camber, toe moves. Adding negative camber results in more toe in.

If an alignment shop doesn't notice that you now have a car sitting 1" lower, with different springs and shocks, I don't think I'd be going to that shop. Perhaps if it was a year between visits, but not a week.

Well a good amount of my buddies work there. So I think they're gonna just hook it up for me. Well see when I go. I'm gonna try and go when the same tech isn't there so someone else will do it and probably won't notice.
