I had my alignment checked today because of uneven front tire wear. The front tires were all worn off on the outsides, but had lots of tread in the middle still. I thought someone on here told me that this problem was due to the camber setting causing the front tires to carry too much weight on the outside of the tire. On my car, the camber was right at 0, but I had too much toe in. The guy said that's what did that to my stock tires. I know the tires wearing on the outside is a fairly common problem with these cars. In fact, just about every one I've seen does this to the tires. Who else had this fixed on thier car?

I wonder if I should have had them put some negative camber in it. I don't drive fast on turns or anything like that. You think my new tires are still going to wear out on the outside? If so, I'll go have them change it, it looks like $hit when the tires are worn like that. What camber is best for tire wear?
I've seen very good results with
-0.5 Camber
+4.5 Caster
1/16 toe in
Realize, it will be a little darty at low speeds on uneven pavement with that much positive caster.
But at higher speeds (above 45 or 50 mph) it will feel rock freaking solid.
I now run -1.5 camber, +5 Caster and zero toe for track use without any tire wear issues.

I would think you would want zero toe and zero camber with your suspension drooped where it rides at WOT at about 1/2 track.
But, that is just specualtion. You drag racers do a lot of stuff strange-like.
