Default wat kind of pan hard bar do u run?

im going to be lowering my car in the near future (strano/kyb), as a result ive been looking into panhard bars so i can center the diff and possibly loose a little weight?

im looking for on car adjustability...i was thinking rod end/poly bushing. its either that or double rod end.

wat do u guys think/ wat do u run on your car?

I run UMI's adjustable poly/rod bar. I hear it's slightly less heavier than the stock panhard bar.

I run a double rod-ended panhard bar. I don't get any noise from it. My double rod-ended LCA's let you know when they need maintenance though :-)

Hello,

If the vehicle see's some street use I would recommend the poly/rod combination with the on-car adjustment, seen here- www.umiperformance.com/2022

It will be quieter and smoother than a double rod ended style.

If I can help anymore please ask. Thank you!

thats actually exactly what i was thinking of purchasing. i dont drag the car, but would like to get into autox. i have some of your 3 point sfc's which work great! how long will the part be on sale?

general question about rod ends...do they need to be lubricated?

Glad I could help!

We recommend a graphite spray for the rod ends... basically all it does is dries on clear and prevents them from rusting. Besides rust the rod ends are maintenance free and easily replaceable if there was ever an issue.

We will be running the sale until tomorrow morning.. if you give us a call tomorrow we can still hook you up

Thanks again!

I wouldn't waste your time w/ a poly end on the PHR. I just installed the double rod end and in normal driving I have no more noise than the stock PHR. The articulation and feel of the rearend after this is MUCH improved.

Keep in mind, that over time, in conjunction with the harshness of your local roads, the rod ends will wear, then loosen and clank. MOST of them eventually do.....

Pavlock aluminum rod/rod. It was cheap, its lightweight, it doesn't make any noise and is adjustable.

I beg to differ. I drove on rod/poly LCAs and never had any noise. This was 2-3 years and at the end they even had a nice coat of rust on them as I drove them daily through Chicago winters. I never maintained them. I saw a rubber sleeve once for rods that would keep dust away. It would be nice if something like that came with them to protect against environment.

I prefer to run rod end/rod end stuff for cars that are built for a lot of drag racing. But rod/rod stuff can get clanky in daily drivers so it's a good idea think about your application.

I said MOST, not all..... I had a rod/rod PHB back in '86, and after 1 summer on western NY's roads, the rod ends were "clanking" like crazy.
