4th gens have coil over shocks in the front. If they were struts then we wouldn't have an upper control arm.
Strut:

Ours (notice the upper control arm and spindle)

I need new shocks and wanted adjustables without paying a retarded amount of money. If comp engineering makes adjustable front shocks, then I'd still only be paying around 150 bucks for adjustables all around, which would be awesome.

I was asking more like what do you want the car to do? Handle better? Ride better? Strictly drag racing?
Not all shocks are the same, a drag shock will be horrible for handling and very poor for ride quality but allow good weight transfer, while a handling shock won't launch as well but provide a better ride, and dramatically increase handling, balance and feel.

yeah, i guess it is a coil over shock. not the facy adj type you posted but still. all this time ive been calling them struts and fail to realize they have no structual bearing to the front suspension...

i think kyb are probably the cheapest adj for the front as far as i know
