Default opinions on sfc please

I'm about to purchase sfc's, lower control arms and maybe a shock tower brace. I'm kinda torn between getting the 2 point bolt in or 3 point bolt in from umi. My car is a 99 z stock ride height with longtubes ory and catback. Its never seen a track and I really dont plan to roadrace or hit the strip much. So would it be worth it to spend a little extra coin on 3 point sfc's?

Thanks.

my car is the same as yours regarding the track. if you don't plan on making big HP numbers then the 2 point SFC's will be fine. that is what i got under my car and you can tell a big difference.

Yeah thats kinda how I'm feelin towards them at the moment. Down the road I would like to toss in a cam and ls6 manifold, but I dont plan on making huge power. I just wonder if there is a noticable difference between the two just driving around. I'm sure at the track and especially autocross the 3 points make a difference.

Comes down to very few things.

1. 3-pts are stiffer than 2's, but heavier.
2. 3-pts cost more than 2's, because they have more tubes and shipping is a bit more.
3. You have to decide what's most important to you. Cost, weight, maximum stiffness, an increase in stiffness, but maybe not the absolute maximum....

There is no "right answer" here, it's personal. I know we sell more 3's than 2's--I think most folks figure that if they are going to brace the car and make it stiffer they want the maximum stiffness they can get.

Hello
Like Sam mentioned above! It is going to be more of a personal choice. But when it comes down to it....you save the quarter panels from getting dimples in them. And you also make the chassis more solid which will help for weight transfer. But seeing how these are more of a DD set up. You will for sure notice a difference in the feel of the vehicle. Below is a link to show you what all UMI Performance has to offer!

If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks

one of the best mods I did to my car, also one of the most current. Really wish it was one of the first mods I ever did. Night and day difference for me. I went with the BMR boxed weld ins.
