Thumbs down LCA clunk...

So I have some off brand aftermarket LCAs (came with the car when I bought it) and they clunk really bad. I was wondering what would be the best option to fix this...

New bushings? I don't think it's because they need grease...maybe they're over-greased? The nipples were pretty much caked with grease and it's greasy all around the bushings and what not. Just trying to figure out what the best option is. I could install the stock ones to actually make sure it's the LCAs, but I just put Koni/Strano setup on so I know it's not the shocks.

Thanks in advance for the help guys. Don't really have the money at the moment to get new LCAs so that's out of the question right now.

Hello
Seeing how you mentioned that there is grease everywhere. Then I would say it sounds like the the bushings are blown due to being over greased. I would suggest seeing who makes them and see if you can get replacement bushings.
Hope that helps
Brad

Why do you say they are off-brand?

You can over-grease poly bushings? I always thought you greased them like the tie rod ends - add grease until a little bit starts to leak out.

Maybe it is a good thing I don't have aftermarket LCAs yet

No! You definitely don't want to do that! I always suggest 1.5-2 pumps of grease per grease fitting. If you put too much grease in, and it has no place to go other than push the bushing. That is what we call blowing the bushing.
Take it easy,
Brad

Like I said, good thing I don't have any

How often do you grease them typically? Just when new and that's it, or at certain mileage intervals, or ?

Because they have no stickers on them to indicate product name...

They might be from J&P products since that's where my old PHB was from...
