A few SAE Baja friends and I were discussing this a few weeks ago. We divided that once classes start back up, we are going to load up my TA with strain gauges on various parts (and other instrumentation) and go to town. I am really looking forward to this and maybe it will give us some concrete numbers to back up some claims. Maybe it will be it a part of my masters' thesis or an article for SAE.

If you really want to get fun with it, do the exact same four tests - but with stock shocks, then good aftermarket shocks, and then with good shocks/bad tires, good shocks/good tires, bad shocks/bad tires, and bad shocks/good tires. And to make it even more interesting, you could throw SFCs into the mix.

After I installed my 4 point, the car was more planted, turned flatter, cowl shake was eliminated and I could leap over a tall building in a single bound.
Also, after adding the 4 point, the car began talking to me and introduced itself as Larry. Chicks dig talking cars.
