Default Subframe Connector Install Problems

i just tried to put on my bolt on jegster SFC's and the rear LCA went on perfect with no problems but the front bolts were off by about an inch and could not figure out why. also on the mounting plate in the front part it has holes that are on the side of the bar but on my car there are no holes.

i had the front on my car on ramps and the rear on the ground but i heard on here that it can be done that way.

this is what i have. i got my own hardware for it

You could just go get them welded in.. Im sure it would only cost about 20 or so.

If your not sure about em, dont use them. I personally would pick up a set from UMI, or BMR and weld them bastards in.. Bolt ins will start to move after a while.. Bolts stretch, holes can elongate.. It happens.

Yea I figured that. The only thing that I was missing that I have come to tind out I might need is the long bar nut bc there is no other way to get into the subframe and bolt it on.
I have locknuts, grade 8 bolts and some red threadlocker so the bolts are not a problem in my eyes

I'd try lowering the car back to the ground and seeing if they line up better that way.

I have a set of the 3 point bolt in subframe connectors from UMI.. they are very nice.. just watch out for speed bumps

Send them back if you don't want to weld them in. If they are made for the car then it should fit.. try jacking up on one side more then the other.. your frame could just be really twisted. A inch is alot of twist>> but give it a shot.

Can't argue with that, I was just trying to picture in my head how they'd fit into the chassis. The flat end with one bolt-hole and the little tab almost looks like it should be welded in - doesn't look like it would really clamp in and not deflect during chassis loading, especially given how thin that plates looks without reinforcement. I know UMI's bolt-in setup is completely different from that one, since it actually goes into a plate inserted into the uniframe.

Ebay them and buy a regular set from one of the sponsors
