I'm with the rest of the guys on here, just him already. I've never bought from sam, but with the years I've been on the forum, he's one of the guys I've come to respect most. Z2898

In this economy, who is not looking to save a few bucks and trying to find a promotion? ;-)

Sorry, tryin to save a few bucks & smearing a honest sponsor b/c he can't sell a product that he only second hand sells (does not build his own in mass for resale) for another company at the price a customer trys to demand are 2 totally different angles.

Guy was way outta line in his comments. If he doesnt have the cash for the parts he wants I suggest saving like the majority of us have to or dont buy. If its too much he cant afford it to begin with.

That's a cop-out. If you are broke, then buying a Watts link probably isn't in the cards, whatever the price. And I'm busier than I've EVER BEEN the last 2 years (thankfully), I know some others are busy too. Is the economy the best ever? No.

Again, even if things completely sucked, and I could sell the Watts for $550 (I can't), that's still $550 that someone who is scraping pennies isn't likely to spend.

Exactly, asking if a group buy or free shipping promotion is coming up is a completely different from calling the sponsor a ton of things because they won't do it.

Everybody has the right to buy/not buy from any vendor, when you take that to the next level because they won't offer something cheaper, it gets pretty ridiculous and if you feel so strongly, shop somewhere else....

BTW, I'm not talking about you Liberty

Lightbulb

No way is it a cop-out -- if someone is not looking to save money when they make purchases in a down economy, then they failed Economics 101...

No I'm not defending this person's approach or attacks -- keep it factual people.

Does your boss negotiate with you about your paycheck? Would you like it if he was always trying to "deal" with you when you do you job, do it well, and aren't overpaid? My guess would be that you would not appreciate it because it's telling you that you deserve less for some reason, true or not.

This is how I make my living. It's a free market. If someone thinks I have no value, or I'm ripping them off, fine. But if they think that I think they need to justify it. And in this case, that's not the argument at all. In fact I'm abiding by the agreement I have as a dealer with Fays2, and have no issue at all doing so.

If you cant afford parts , dont buy them people .. we all want things and we may not be able to afford them , so instead of bitching about it , save up money or something .. I want a watts link too , I dont have the money to spend on it right now so I'll put it on hold .. geez you dont need to bash a sponsor because you cant afford something or you want to save a few pennies ..

now I'm not attacking anyone so folks dont take anything personal , but that guy chatted alot of bs .

I know guys like to get a deal (who doesn't?) but getting confrontational with one or two vendors because of the price for parts is from, my perspective, comical. Maybe it's a case of the grass is greener... but living in Canada I look in envy with the selection of local vendors/products/services available to you. I have used the vendor named, and other US based vendors for that matter, and received great advice/service/parts etc from them. Now comes the bs from the Canadian Gov't- Brokerage fees at the border, taxes applied to brokerage fees, shipping fees, taxes applied to shipping fees and the risk of stuff held up and bashed boxes warranty hassles too! All of these extra can add 50%- 100% to the original cost of the item! Not to mention paying a surcharge on the credit card for converting Can$ to US$! So I shop around too - you bet! However, there IS a way to do it without getting upset, name calling etc. I have found the vendors/sponsors more than willing to explain charges etc handle warranty even though it is extra hassle for them to deal with me bc of where I live. I wish I had access to the US market without all the extra $ - I paid $60 shipping for shocks to be shipped, over $60 for the Watts to be shipped etc. I really have to research and save before buying. My .02 thats all.

Good talking to you too Jason. Thanks for letting me pick your pockets and willingly. It would have sucked to have had to hold you at gun-point!

Seriously, always happy to have repeat customers. Your bars are packed waiting pick-up and your overpriced Watts link will ship in the next few days.

Excellent. What I can't wait for is the half *** tech support that follows the purchase! IMO that's the best part.

I bought shocks and springs from Sam about two years ago. He provided recommendations over the phone on the best setup for the street, understanding I was only after the appearance and street comfort. He was conversational, and personable. If he says he can't do group purchases on Watt's links, I'll take that as truth.

The moderator needs to come in and apply some thread locker. There are a couple of nuts loose in here.
