Default Upper A-Arms - How Dumb Am I?

New to ls1tech. First post as a matter of fact. Studip me wasn't paying attention when I removed the OEM Upper A-Arms from 02 T/A thus I'm not sure which side goes where. I'm installing a set of UMI Upper A-Arms and need to make sure I get them on the correct sides. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you should be able to line up the stock a arms so that the little rubber nub on the top of the rubber shock mount goes through a hole and then through the hole in the car under the hood.

For anyone else who may be having trouble this should help. Most aftermarket A-Arms are similar in design so this should work with all brands.

This picture was taken from the passenger side of the vehicle, to the right is the front of the car and the left is the rear. Notice the curve in the A-Arm is placed to the front, grease fittings down and ball joint holder on top and angled up. I have seen them installed upside down as well.

Hope this helps,
Ryan

The factory one has a mark on one side R or L. You can go off that.

My "two cents".....UMI's picture/post should be a permanant thread. Nothing worse than removing on the weekend only to pull a "bonehead" move like I did and not be able to resolve problem until Monday. Thank God, Ryan was available on Saturday to help out a "weekend warrior mechanic".

The factory must have cheated me. Man, I cleaned, degreased it, and even prayed over it, but no markings on either one of mine. Which was really weird as the brackets they attach to are marked "R & L".
