Default Lakewwod traction bars

Hello anyone have any pictures of the lakewood traction bars installed?
If i use them can i eliminate the torque arm? I'm in the process of collecting parts to put in my camaro a 8.8 rear and i going to eliminate the TA and use the bar set up.
Thanks

They may work for when you are accelerating, but they also have to control the torque from the brakes. As you know, the TA transfers the bending moment to a point further away than the LCA mounts, effectively reducing the force needed to prevent rotation. Secondly, those relatively small (clamping area wise) clamps would be the only thing keeping the axle from rotating. In short, I believe that it would be dangerous or a risk of damage to remove the TA and replace it with traction bars.

Post a link to them. I am pretty sure they do not eliminate the torque arm, but could be wrong until we see them.

Those arms do eliminate the torque arm.

The issue is they move the instant center so far back in the car that it causes suspension geometry issues.

I have had several customers come to us with these on the car and we get them setup with the proper torque arm and the car works much better.

We have seen a few pictures of the brackets that bolt to the axle crack as well. I wouldn't recommend them either.

i have the UMI torque arm with the driveshaft loop, im assuming with there design there would be no reason to even put those traction bars on with this set up is there?

No you would not want to run these with a torque arm setup.
