Default Adjusting Koni 4th gen SA fronts

Need some suggestions on adjusting the front Koni SA's.

What tools are you using to get in that tight spot in order to adjust them?

Do you have the suspension unloaded in order to get to the adjuster?

Me too!

Then use a small piece of duct tape over the adjuster's slot, to keep the dirt out.

Yeah, I can get a 2.5mm allen wrench in there just jacking up the car, with the wheel still on it. You can just get in between the spring coils.

Yes...suspension unloaded, although I honestly never thought to try adjusting them with the suspension loaded. I have a feeling that would be a fruitless effort since I wouldn't be able to see much.

Allen wrench with a piece of string attached so if I drop it behind the wheel I can find it again or keep hold of the end of it. too many times I've dropped it and it's landed somewhere in the suspension .

What if the adjuster seems very stiff? My 4000km Koni on the driver's side does not seem to want to adjust so how could it be messed already?

No air tools used during assembly.

Hmm, might just have some grime in it. My passenger side Koni had a broken adjuster recently, but it was completely loose and would spin freely.

Mine got seized up and would no longer adjust. I finally took apart the shock assemblies, sprayed them liberally with penetrating fluid, and got them to move again. It was just grime that had built up in there from daily driving.
