What would cause the ABS INOP light to come on?? Also my BRAKE light is on after about 2 minutes after I start the car.... the ABS INOP light is on automatically when I start the car....
when im going under 2k rpm's and hit the brakes, the rpm's go up to 2k rpm's till i come to a complete stop and at the stop it goes from 1,500 then up to 2,000 rpm's and back and forth... what could it be, i already checked the vacuum hose to the intake, but havent bled the brakes yet?? could it be that or something else??
i REALLY REALLY need some help!! thanks, dwayne

Sounds like you might have a vacum hose torn on the rpm problem, and on the abs inop try to run a diagnostic on the spindle sensors, either gm dealer or a tuner might help you out. I once had a problem with my abs it was a spindle sensor so the abs inop light was triggered, I took it to the dealer they replaced the sensor and cleared the abs inop light.

i am not driving on slicks or skinnies....
and i had just done an engine swap and put on new heads in the last month and put on no more than about 100 miles on the car....
someone said some kind of wire might be touching the headers or something??

check your MAP sensor, I had the same problems, though not at the same time (two seperate occasions) and the first turned out to be a bad MAP, the second, I had forgotten to plug it in after I had the intake off.
