Lower the front of your 4th Generation F-body 1” without effecting suspension travel with a set of Lowering A-arms from BMR Fabrication. Based on our well proven traditional A-arm design, these lowering A-arms are constructed from a combination of 1-5/8” and 1-1/4” DOM tubing and feature 3/16” laser cut steel plates and CNC machined ball joint cups. The BMR Lowering A-arms (AA020) utilize a combination of low-deflection, internally fluted polyurethane bushings and Teflon-lined XR series spherical rod ends with stainless spacers. The result is a high quality tubular A-arm that not only reduces weight by 10 lbs. but lowers the vehicle without the typical geometry and alignment concerns. Installation time is only 2-3 hours. Available in black hammertone or red powdercoat.

I've been waiting for something like this. Coupled with my current Strano springs and Koni shocks, I'll only have to add some ground control units to my struts, and retain that slightly lower stance I've wanted while adding to my suspension travel (since the ground controls will jack up the springs a bit). I'm very excited about these units.

That's what I'm thinking. I don't have any experience with rod ended suspension, but I can't imagine it would be very pleasant when the weather gets freezing cold here and I've gotta drive to work every morning in this car. Oh well, I guess I'll have to lower it the old fashioned way...

Most aftermarket A-arms (standard height and BMR lowered version) have a rod end on one side. Lots of people on this forum run BMR A-arms and you rarely hear a complaint about the noise, vibration, or harmonics caused by rod ends.

Rod-ends are fine up front as long as the jam-nuts are tight, they will transfer a little more road noise, but it's not bad at all.

So what would that do if lets say I wanted aftermarket springs or coilovers? Order them an extra inch longer?

BMR has spacers you could use between the bottom of the shocks and the A-arms with regular lowering springs, and with threaded coilover shocks or sleeves you can just adjust the spring seat up if you need to; simple!

Are you stating that lowering your front end by 1" has no effect to the front roll center?

That makes sense, after I posted this I realized that mayne stock height springs with different spring rate might do the trick as well. Whenever I lower my car I'm going with a set of these

What I would rather see is some sort of rubber or poly ring, similar to the spring isolator on the rear of our cars, that goes at the seat of the spring. That could be utilized to make bottoming out the spring a less dramatic experience. It can be incorporated into our suspension design as a way of increasing travel ever so slightly. I believe Subaru and other manufacturers have begun doing this.
