The large washer is #1 in the diagram, it goes under the Upper Mount. The nut goes on the upper threaded shock shaft, above the Upper Mount #4 in the diagram.

Thanks guys for all the help. 1 more strut/spring and I'm f****** done! Never again will I do this. I thought after I did my headers most things would be a walk in the park, but I would say my header install went a lot smoother.

So I took my car for a test drive and its a huge difference from eibach springs/stock shocks. Now, I noticed when I was driving that I hear some clunking in the front struts/springs. Is this normal?

You shouldn't hear anything clunking. Did you make sure everything was tight? Put everything back as it was supposed to like the spring cup isolater?

How did you tighten the shocks? With the springs compressed all the way down? Did you tighten down the rear shocks as well?

No clunking is not normal. You will want to fix that.

I made sure everything was tight and I put everything back like it was supposed to be. When I tightened the shocks the spring was compressed, but not all the way down. Yes, I tightened the rear shocks, but there was room to tighten more. Should I have tightened them down until I barely had anymore room to go? Also, with the front shocks/springs when I tightened the nut to the rubber shoe there was also more room to tighten, but my wrench was having a hard time fitting in there because of the tight fit and having to use the vice grips too. Is there a special tool to tighten this without having to use vice grips to hold the shaft?

You should tighten the front shock nut with an impact gun. The rubber compresses and eventually your tightening down on all metal. You'll feel the nut wanna stop.

Not tightening it all the way will cause a clunk for sure.
