"Pretty. Very pretty. But can they fight?" - Bickley, as "the general"
"Yes Sir!" - Col Breed
"I hope you're right" - Bickley
- The Dirty Dozen
Expect to see those saddle welds where the crossbar
meets the chassis mount tubes, let go sooner or later.
If it were me I'd do a little plate work before it went
on the car.

it myself. So no, I won't be getting out. People need to think
about what holds the front of the car together.
Nice try, Pinkie. Maybe you ought to think a little harder.
Including how you put critical welds under passenger
vehicles. Unless you disclaim the hell out of your product
like most of them do.

Even better, I've had one similarly constructed fail, and fixed
it myself. So no, I won't be getting out. People need to think
about what holds the front of the car together.

Look if you dont have anything nice to say about that k-member then dont say anything at all! No one even asked your opinion on that kmember. If you dont like it then dont buy one!
Come on man, I have read lots of your posts and almost none of them are like this. Whats the deal?

Very nice looking piece! Good luck with it Diablo.
Eric; I don't think Jimmy is trying to start anything he's just giving some constructive criticism. Tubular k-members are subjected to a lot of abuse, especially when the car is daily driven(as I'm sure you know). I'm sure he's not questioning your welding ability, there have just been plenty that I have failed from various companies.

I'm not selling anything, I'm not sponsored by anybody and my only loyalty is
to the fraternity. I've been someplace you don't want to go and y'alls deserve
to know. Especially any of you freshmen. Brandy from Kappa Mu gave me
the crabs, and Mandy borrows her clothes. That's all. You want to hit it
anyway, go for it.
When it comes to K-members you'll find a lot of my posts have been exactly
like this. If you search you can see where mine broke and judge for yourself
how different your story is likely to be. My vendor was just as proud of their
welding skills and quality. The street has the last word. Mine broke on the
driveway. Where will you be, and going how fast, when it's your turn? And
why should the risks, which are real and known, not be told? The vendors
sure won't.
This is not an infomercial, it's a tech forum. I have a technical opinion based
on experience and it is more relevant than personalities, hurt feelings or
advertisement. Not to mention maybe it saves somebody's ***.
We could talk about how to make this style of part more failsafe. It's not hard
or expensive to do. Make a thread if you want. This keg is floating.

Old thread, but just to cap it off, if you take a look at MWC's clients and how much abuse they put on these suspension components, there is no question that he is making some truly badass **** and doing some R&D.
We are talking cars running these K members going 11 o clock and smacking back down and the k member is fine after that happening multiple times.
