Default New UMI stuff. installed and pictures

S i got my new UMI 3pt subframes and Drag sway bar setup installed today.

The sway bar was fairly easy to install. It was more akward then hard to install. The thing is huge compared to the stock sway bar. The subframes fought me every step of the way. I originally had 2pt subframes on the car for the last 2yrs. They installed fine so i though the 3pts would be easy. I have a tunnel torque arm so i wanted the extra support for the crossmember so upgraded to these.

The driver side went in perfect. no issues at all. The passenger side seemed to be tweeked. The mounting plate for the corssmember seemed to be welded at the wrong angle and the holes were slightly off. so after a few hours of cursing to get it to work i got it on.

The results are good. The subframes tightened up the car a little more compared to the 2pts. Its a nice difference and a little more smooth. The sway bar is also nice. i can tell the car wants to grip more and take off harder. I only drove a little bit since its winter and the roads suck. Its a little more bouncy but its not bad. i like it. No noises or clunks so im happy

That's interesting the way the sway bar connections are different where it connects to the end links. The ends are vertical instead of horizontal. Any pics of those end links installed?

no i didnt take any. here are some pics off of UMI website. The adjustable links allow you to had a little preload to the bar. Theres two holes, one allows for a softer ride for street and the other adds more stiffness.

if you look at the picture i took at the end of the sway bar there are 2 holes. Then you also have the endlinks which you adjust the passenger side with a little more preload. so that when you take off hard the passenger side wont twist or squat under high torque

Oh, OK, I didn't see that. I had to lighten the picture up. Which holes did you use and why?

Good deal!

Wondering how the drag bar handles the streets.

Yep...consistent 1.5 60's now. Just make sure the preload is set correctly.

nice.

I took it out today. roads are still cold. It definitaly is helping the car not spin the wheels even in this weather. Did a 30mph roll and the car just took off instead of spinning like it used to do. same with a dead stop. Takes off better, still spins but it should be good at the track.
