Attached picture shows the 10.9 grade bolt being discussed. I doubt the cone tip is necessary for the replacement bolt.

GM Part Number: 10234622

Search that part number. There are multiple suppliers online.

Virtually identical to the rear LCA bolts(which are 3mm / 1/8" longer).

I don't recall if there is room, but if you break one of these, the best bet would be to reach in through the side of the pocket that the nut/plate sits in and try to turn it in the tighteneing direction with a pair of vice grips until it comes completely through the top side. But like I said, I can't remember if there is enough space for the vice grips.

What did you torque them to? What torque wrench?

I was using the Brownline Digital Torque Wrench. I bought it thinking it would be handy for all future torquing needs on the car. Since the bolt is facing upward in this scenario, I had to lay on my back to read the digital display. I was going for 107 lb-ft per the torque specs, but I got to 100 lb-ft and it just hovered +/- 2 lb-ft around 100 with every tightening turn. It was late at night and I was tired, so I didn't think much of it until it snapped. I have since drilled and removed it with an easy out screw extractor with no problem. I could not get that black plate to slide out (even with no bolt inside).

Not necessary but makes starting it much easier.
