Default SFC or Shock?

I'm getting my Tax refund, and can't decide between 3 pt SFC's, or all new Bilstien HD shocks... i'm running around on 120k decrappons if that makes a difference.

Im voting for shocks as they make a huge difference to the feel of the car, these cars are a fair bit more rigid then the 3rd gen, so sfc are not as important. I went with koni, but bilstein are suppose to be very good as well.

This is a very odd comparison since they both do different things, but if you are just comparing most "bang for buck".

I 'd take new shocks over SFCs any day of the week.

Why not both? I just did konis and sfc on my 149,000 mile camaro that had been
running decarbons on sportline springs -horrible! I had even told myself that there
was no way in hell i would spend 800 bux on shocks. Now it feels like a new car
and no more noise going over bumps/drive way.

Shocks first cause once one install the sfc's you'll feel just how bad the stock suspension really is..

Shocks, all the way..... And fwiw, SLP and HD's are the same thing--but I can sell SLP for less. $384.99/set vs. $419.99 if I get them from Bilstein.

When did the SLPs become revalved to match HD specs? Or vise-versa?
Also, saw these recently...

What's their story?

Based on my experience and what others have posted in other threads, you will likely feel the improvements of the SFCs more with your existing shocks, and their effect will be more "masked" if you install them after you upgrade your shocks. FWIW.

Shocks... they do much more day do day. They have a much larger effect on ride, stability, how the car takes a set. They are suspension pieces, the SFC's are chassis pieces. That does not make them bad things mind you, but the chassis is less of an issue than suspension. Can't think of hardly anyone that said shocks didn't matter. SFC's, it's more torn, some find a big difference some don't (generally those with good shocks already as the impacts to the unibody are already greatly cut down).
