Which subframe connectors should I get, bolt-in or weld-in?

Weld-in is going to be your best bet as far as solidifying the chassis goes. You don't see any super fast cars running bolt-in subframe connectors for a reason.

It depends on your driving and how you are going to use the car, less severe use would be okay with bolt in styles. Like Kyle mentioned welding is always going to be best however not everyone has access to a welder all the time so this can be difficult. A lot of the customers will purchase bolt in styles and have them welded at a later date, which is possible.

I hope that helps,
Ryan

I have found from personal experiance buy the bolt in style.....but get them welded in when you get a chance. Its alot easier to weld them when they are already bolted to the car.

^^^^ may be a good idea.
I have slp welded SFCs. They are very HEAVY. I don't know if that's an issue for you. I was surprised (years ago) when I unwrapped them and took them to the speedshop for welding. But otherwise they perform great. You'll definitely notice the enhanced stiffness.

BMR weld-in Boxed. I like the fact that their design ties into the control arm mounting location on the frame making it much stronger.

3-point UMI bolt-in FTW. Love mine. If you ever need to remove them, it will be a lot easier.

i have 3pt bolt ins and had 2 pt bolt-ins previously. It was nice being able to install it myself. Then like UMI said you can always weld them in afterwards.

Do the bolt-ins mount up to the same locations as the weld-in? And do the 3-point SFC's cause any clearance issues with exhaust or torque arm relocation crossmembers?

You should have no issues w/ clearance. I'm running Pacesetter LT's, Texas Speeds ORY and have zero issues. Also have the UMI torque arm w/ relocate bracket. Everything clears just fine.

UMI has pictures on there website of the subframes mounted on the car. search there site. yes they are the same thing just without the bolts for the front. the 3pts dont interfere with anything.

+1. If you have bolt-ins and you decide you don't like them, you can easily take them off. Not so with weld-ins.

Hello,

Like mentioned by a few others the 3-Point SFC's will have no clearance issues at all and we haven't found a single exhaust system they won't clear with.

I hope that helps!
