Default Lowered car with stranos and unhappy with the height.

I had bmrs , i thought they were eibach sportlines . So i ordered the stranos everyone raves about and just installed them and got back from a ride . Same ride height as before with the bmrs and the ride is the same .

The reason i went from one to another is i ASSumed i has sportlines since they were red. so i went ahead and ordered the stranos hoping it would raise the car up some .

Nope , everything is exactly the same as before and im just so pissed off . Ill show some pics , but ive never seen anyone with stranos this low before . Anyone have any ideas on why mine is so low ?

also the distance fromt ground to fender on the front is 25.25 now , same as before .

I'm fairly certain that BMR and Strano's lower the car about the same. Eibach Sportlines do drop the car the most of any springs that I'm aware of, but going from BMR to Strano springs shouldn't change the ride height...especially since the revised BMR's are almost a copy of the Strano rates...

From what Strano was telling me over the phone, the two springs are the same, drop wise, but his are a lot lighter.

Also people. What could cause this difference from the two cars. The springs are no way 1.2 drop. It's Waay more.

The car has never been in an accident. It's got bilateins. But what the hell could cause this drop. I'm going to possibly get some washers and use them to raise it a littlebut I still want to know why

Perhaps your shocks are shot so that's why it's so low? Idk, just throwing that out as a possible cause. But BMR springs and Stranos lower our cars pretty much the same...

Possible the struts are not right for the model year so they might be shorter?

ramairetransam, your car's stance is just like my Formula's with Stranos. I'm going to try ¼" spacers from UMI whenever I get around to buying longer front lower shock bolts from ARP. The spacers are not listed separately on UMI's site, but they have them.

With who and what are they going to do? The OP bought springs thinking he had a different brand than he did...that's not anyone's fault. The OP should have looked for a brand/model # stamp on the spring before assuming they were a certain model because of the color...if he doesn't like the stranos, he can ways take them off and sell them...but calling someone isn't going to do much I wouldn't think...

I still need to figure out why the car is so damn low. Its 25.25 , so plus 1.2 equals 26.45 , i thought stock f bodies are like 27 front ground to fender.

And i dont know what im doing about the springs or what ill sell just yet. I thought if anything my car would sit higher than ta's , no ttops , cloth, less body work.

If you had Sportlines, you'd have known....the car would have ridden like a buckboard, due to the almost zero suspension travel, and your rocker panels would have been almost on the ground.....

I will say this, however, your car looks pretty low, especially in the front, for Strano springs.

What kind of condition are the rubber isolators on the front strut assembly? if the rubber is worn out or possibly cut or damaged it will cause the car to sit lower.

With strano's, IIRC, the rear should be around 27"
