Default Making use of my new welder

Made some use of my new welder. Finally getting this thing legal. Just welded up a DS safety loop. Next project is the 10 point cage.

Looks good.

Consider some gussets to strengthen the "stem"?

I was basically copying what I had seen on BMR's site. http://bmrfabrication.com/instructions/Tpinstall4.jpg
I could add a couple gussets but I don't think it's necessary.

What is this 6" mark all about? I don't see anything in the 04 NHRA rulebook.

It's relatively close to that. Maybe 3-5" Where do you find this kind of information anyway?

I found it on Spohn's website where they talk about the the integral front DS loop on their torque arms.
