Newly Installed Adjustable QA1 Struts/Shocks
I just had a set of QA1 shocks and struts installed along with my stock WS6 springs. I love the ride and the adjustability. When I first picked the car up it was set at the 3 position. The car was very comfortable(Caddy like) but wallowed too much for my liking. Now that it is at the 5 position all the way around the car sits down much better and is still comfortable on Chicago streets. A night and day difference from my BMR/SLP Bilstein setup. The rear isolators were removed for a drop in the rear and the front was dropped about an inch using the perches on the struts. I still have some playing around to do with the setup, but I give it a thumbs up!!
I like the way it looks too

I haven't had a chance to really put that to the test; but it handles a ton better than stock for sure. I'll be better qualified to answer that in the upcoming weeks now that the snow has melted
Do you think stiffer springs would help the handling, or could you just bump up the settings on the shocks?

So overall, would you say that aftermarket springs are not required at all?

Chitown,
Are you running the QA1 spring up front or the stock spring? IF stock did you have to use a modified lower spring perch? I have QA1's as well and I am using the QA1 spring up front and Eibach prokit in the back. The thing is frickin slammed, and I don't like it. I'm thinking of using the stock rear with out the spacer but I'm afraid it might be to high. I do know that the stock rears with the spacer was to high for the shock to even fit. The shock was fully extended with the car just parked, so that is why I had to go with a lowering spring.
one last thing did you use some sort of hose on the rears with out the spacer?
thanks for your help

No Juice,
How low is your car really? I am thinking of running the same setup and was wondering how big is the tire to fender gap with your setup? Lowering Springs/ Stock Springs
Do you have a 10-bolt or 12-bolt?
Thanks for any help!!!

They sell (I for got what it is called) a piece that will allow use with the stock spring
I have the rubber isolator removed in the rear. Hose has been put in its place.
I hope this helped.

01SLPSS,
Head over to the Appearance Section look for the post called "Guess what springs?" I have some pictures there with my setup. It has a 10-bolt.
I put a ruler flat on the tread of the rear tires and measured the height to the outside edge of the fender and had about 5/8" if that gives you an idea
