Default BMR or Strano Lowering Springs?

I'm wanting to give my car a good rake stance & also still keep the ride quality...

Neither -- I don't want to run into more obstacles on the road...

If I did, I would go Strano.

ive had both and currently run stranos . To tell you the truth , in all honesty they ride the same and sit the same . Bmr is cheaper , both are sponsors on here . Its up to you but my brother now has my bmrs and they sit the same and ride the same , and i guess the rates are pretty close and the weight of them are pretty close too .

My Strano springs were so much lighter than my SLP Eibachs so the BMR must be at least the same weight...

If you're running around on stock springs you can go ahead and forget about lowering and keeping the ride quality.

Theres guys on here that are loyal to either brand. I plan on running Stranos based on what Ive read on Sam's customer service alone. Plus he races these cars and WINS alot so I know he knows what hes producing for us. Also heard BMR pretty much copied his spring rates as well. If your trying to save a few bucks just get BMR but if you ever plan on doing suspension mods done the road, Sam is the zen master.

with the 1.25 drop you get from Strano's or BMR's there is supposed to be little to no change in ride quality from stock, just an improvement in handling and appearance-the only downfall is ground clearance.

I have seen people post on hear saying that about Strano's but I never did believe them. Nothing changes the fact that you are losing approx. 1.2" of suspension travel and the springs must be a little stiffer than stock or you'll being hitting the bump stops constantly. I have the Strano/Koni setup and the ride is definitely more stiff than with the stockers. The problem you run into ride quality is that it is very subjective...not every one has the same definition of smooth ride.

Going to Strano/Koni my car handles greatly better than it did before so I'm fine with the increased roughness. Although I must say I only drive the car about 1k miles per year and if this was my DD I don't think I would like the rougher ride everyday. But at the same time I'm getting older and I wouldn't like driving this car as my DD anyway.

I have had lowering springs (Strano's), you give up travel and increase spring rate your ride quality will go down.

Sure you, may lose a little ride quality but I have seen many testimonials that its almost not noticeable. They are certainly the least drastic drop/loss in ride quality out there as far as lowering springs are concerned (second to the SLP .75 drop, I suppose)

Stranos, hands down. Like a few people have said on the thread, the ride is a little harsher but take my word for it that it's nothing bad. I've had my spine fused (little above my hips to a little below my neck) and the ride doesn't bother me at all.

What a country... cheaper, and "nearly the same"... $20 is the difference between the knock-off and the original. The difference between about 5 gallons of fuel for something that will be on the car for years.

To each his own, I guess that's why Wal-Mart is so busy.

I would go with the ones with better customer support, race proven, and a promise that they won't sag.
