Default Are Brembo OE Solid Rotors discontinued?

When I was looking at summit about 2 months ago, they were selling for $121 PER ROTOR. I couldn't afford it at that time and by dumb luck I started looking at other options today and found them for $25/ PER ROTOR! I almost bought (4) due to being so cheap. I went ahead and ordered them and it said they'll ship today via ground, so we'll see if I actually get them or if I get an apology claiming they're out of stock as most other places I have called.

I just ordered a set today when I saw a link to the clearance pricing on their website. Not sure if they're being discontinued or if it's an overstock situation. Either way, at $25 each they are a bargain.

Ha, yea I almost ordered (4) at that price. Even the cheapest local parts store rear rotors are more expansive than that, much less the fronts.

I guess you didn't see the thread in here where we mentioned the sale, and pretty much concluded that they are rebranded stock replacement rotors identical to what is found at Autozone.

P.S. Nice sig.

I saw the one a few months back when they sold a set for $100. I just searched and found the one posted about 2 weeks ago. I don't know how I missed it as I frequent the forums on a daily basis.

That's a bummer on the outsourcing part though. I have always heard that their OE blanks were solid rotors and a step up from the standard parts store replacements. I guess that went down hill when they started outsourcing though, not that there may be anything wrong with them, especially at this price. Oh well, thought I found a steal.

I saw your sig the other day and thought the same thing, haha.

And that's the problem these days.....MOST countries have some sort of anti-pollution rules and regulations, which either closed down their steel/iron foundries completely, or limited their production and raised their operating costs. China (and Mexico, for that matter), on the other hand, doesn't give a s**t about pollution, so all the crappy operations, like foundries, are moving there.

Like it did to everybody else, it will eventually catch up to them, and THEN see what the prices jump to, for metals and metal parts. They'll be forced to deal with anti-pollution measures, and by that time every other country's steel/iron foundries will have been mothballed for so long it will take BIG $$$ to get them up and running again...
