has anyone used 92 camaro struts on a 98 camaro
I'm trying to put 92 camaro stuts on my 98 camaro. any any pictures or advice please. i'm putting a big motor bbc in my 98 and the valve cover is about two inches from the strut tower on the driver side. i've heard people doing it but can't locate an article or picture.

4th gens do not have struts and therefore the lower mount is completely different between the 3rd and 4th gen. Not sure why the shock/strut is the important part. You would really need to change the spring if putting a heavier motor in the car.

With respect to your original question, you might as well find an '82-'92 Camaro/Firebird donor car, and cut it off at the firewall, cut the front end off your '98, and weld the older front end on in it's place. That's how different the two generations of cars are.......

I talked to Pat at Race Craft and he is in the process of making another K Member that should clear big motors with a dry sump. he's also going to use a strut style shock so the shock tower can be cut back a little. Thanks guys

You're going to need more than just a strut and clearanced shock tower. You'll need to source the correct knuckle/spindle that will accept the strut and rack'n'pinion tie rod ends. You'll also need to fabricate the correct shock top to accommodate the correct strut angle.
With that much modification you might be better off installing a roll cage style front subframe. With that you'll have significant better clearance and much easier time installing a front suspension while reducing weight.
