Default Has anybody had fitment issues with an aftermarket K member?

I'm getting ready to reinstall my engine/transmission/kmember/front suspension. I went with a BMR turbo K member, and was wondering if I should expect a big hassle reinstalling? I've reinstalled a stock K back under the car a couple times, and it's not like you can really "tweak" the aftermarket K, so I assume it'd have to line up pretty much perfectly as long as it's positioned properly under the car (reinstalling the engine from underneath). The included instructions mention keeping a pry bar handy, so...

Just wondering if I should expect any surprises.

Dowel pins should locate it to the car.

It should be as easy as putting you stock k-member back in the car. The BMR k-member has dowels on it that line everything up and make it easy to bolt in the car.

Anybody make a k member without the adjustable holes for suspension mounting? As in fixed holes for a car not needing the adjust-ability and wanting to run stock arms?

I'm planning to run stock a-arms on this one. I guess I haven't paid too much attention to the holes for them because I'm in the process of swapping them off my stock K member.

I have heard there is a ton of room for a arm adjustment meaning you may have trouble even driving it to an alignment shop.

There is, but I just 'eyeballed aligned' drove it to the shop 17 miles away and they aligned without any problems.

I am using the stock a-arms on a a UMI road race K-member.

"A ton of room" is really just an extra half inch or so of length in the slots for the lower control arms.

See, thats gonna be a little difficult for me because I am doing this as part of a turbo build and I will probably need to get it tuned just to event run (bigger injectors) as well as an m6 to 4l80e swap, so I guess I will have to get a base tune to drive to an alignment shop then get the really tune once it can drive straight.

depending on how far away you are from the shop, it might be cheaper to hire a flat bed wrecker to transport the car.
