Default fitment issue with brembos and oe wheels

Has anybody else had issues with installing brembos with oe wheels? The inside diameter is too small for these for some reason. The wheels would not spin with the balancing weights on them, I had to remove them. I'm just trying to see if I'm the only one who has had this issue, or if maybe I'm just have bad luck.

i had brembos on my 01 ws6, i had c6 z06 rims on it and they looked like they were going to hit everytime the wheel spun. so close it looked like you could just barely slide a piece of paper between the two (caliper and rim). i dont think there is any way they would have fit on stock fbody rims.

edit; what rims are those?

the problem is that I had to remove the balancing weights from inside of the wheel, because the wheel wouldn't spin because the weights would hit the calipers

they are oe wheels c5 DD 18x10.5

I assume thats the Brembo Big Brake kit. I always thought they were made for 18" wheels. I'm surprised youre having clearance issues, but I'm curious what others have to say.

I am running a spacer. The problem is that I can't balance the wheels because there is no outer lip to attach a crimp on weight, and there isn't enough clearance for stick on weights inside the wheel

Static balance on the inner lip will be sufficient for a street car

i have it on my c5 DD from OE wheels and i have no issues. using the 15mm spacer. which has pleanty of room. could have probably gone w/ 10mm spacer. cuz my thumb easily fits between the spokes and caliper.
