Default Remove rear spring rubber on 4th gen

I'd like to run the stock 4th gen springs on my street/strip car but would like to lower it an inch. Are the rubber pads the springs sit on mandatory?

I haven't looked under the car in a while but was just thinking about this....

No it's not mandatory. People remove these isolators to lower their vehicle, it's called the "heater hose mod". Use the search bar using those words and you should find a ton of info on it.

I got AFCO dbl adj all the way around, with coil over shocks on the front. Rear have AFCOs in stock location with a Relocation spacer made so the shocks are turned and the **** isnt close to the anti-roll anymore.

yea make sure you wrap at least a coil in heater hose so you aren't running metal on metal for the rear springs

It won't do a full inch, but it may work for him. It's an easy swap so it's worth a try.
