The SFC set we have are a very affordable part, and an easy install as well. SFCs are usually one of the first chassis mods to be done. Give us a call sometime... we can set you in the right direction with quality built parts and the experience with f-bodies to back it up.

Maybe all this matters with a f*ing monster of a drag race vehicle, but is there really a big difference in all other applications? I don't think 99% of the people on this board are going to work their car hard enough to cause the car to flex very much

SFC's, regardless of the brand/style/mounting method, etc. are often in the first round of modifications. Whether they're needed or effective or whatever, many car owners and fabrication companies consider them a building block of a street car, drag car, handling car...

You need to search, and tell us what you are after.
Do you want handling? Launching? Ride quality?

Dead hooking at bolt-on power levels put a nice crease in my RR quarter panel. Hasn't returned since SFC's were installed.

I went with UMI's 3 point bolt in ones. I like being able to remove them if necessary. They were the only company that made a 3 point for the convertible model. The car is MUCH tighter going into curves now. You used to really feel it roll, but now it doesn't budge an inch.

If you look at how the chassis is constructed in the LCA box area you will recognize that the box is only attached to the subframe by a few spot welds and is located 3 inches away from the actual rear subframe of the car.

This is the reason why MWC offers a "true subframe connector" that is doing the job it is intended to: connect the subframes, not connect the lca box to the side of the front subframe.
dam, wish i woulda known this before buying my UMI Boxed weld in subframe connectors!

how much are the midwest chassis subframe connectors and do they scrape? they dont look as tucked as their competitors and seem like they would scrape a lot.

I have umi 3 point bolt in and idk if i bolted them up right, does it matter if the car is on ramps or on jackstands when bolted on? Or does it matter either way? The instructions didnt really say and i see i have slightly bent up quarters, dont know if they were there before or not, not too noticable tho.

We prefer the suspension be loaded during final tightening to "lock" the car into a natural position.

The MWC true subframe connectors are above the rocker at the front, and taper slightly under the rocker at where it welds to the rear frame rail. Most exhaust systems and some aftermarket torque arms are usually lower than the connector at the rear. We have never had anyone complain about ground clearance with our setup.

The MWC true subframe connectors are a great value at 160.00 shipped!
