Default Engine revs when hitting brakes

Have a 98 Camaro with MS3 cam.

When I hit the brakes the engine RPMs go up. This makes it harder to stop and the pedal is hard to press. Happens at idle and cruising.

What would cause this?

Could it be anything besides the booster or hose to it?

Your foot's too big. Your hitting the brake and accelerator at the same time. LOL! :-)
In all seriousness I had that problem in my wifes' 2006 Honda Pilot because of the pedal placement.

I guess I'm going to swap out the booster today and see if that solves it. I'm definitely not hitting both pedals with my foot.

Let me know if you find the fix, I've been having the same problem since I put my cam in and I've replaced my map sensor and checked all my hoses and can't find a leak.

I will. I changed the booster today. I had a spare one from a parts car sitting in the garage. I ended up having to disconect my brake lines, and now I have to bleed the brakes. I have a new set of pads coming in tomorrow so I am going to wait and finish it up then. I did start the car and hit the brakes. The engine did not rev, but I will know for sure if it fixed it by tomorrow as long as my pads come in on time.

Throttle cracker in the tune. It makes the car want to auto cruise control.

Got it back together and drove it today. The brakes are great now! No more reving and its so easy to brake now. I can't believe went so long with this problem. It started right after I put my last cam in and I just assumed that was the cause. I'm so glad to have the brakes working like they should again! It was definitely the booster.
