Default Question about bump stops.

I have a 95' camaro with 315's in the rear. The previous owner cut off the stock bump stock brackets to clear the wheels. When I go over bumps with more than one person in the car I rub. So I did some clearance with a BFH but now the tires just rub in a different spot lol. So what are the options for bump stops without the factory mounting? I don't have a welder, so that option is out. Also the car is lowered on eibach sport line springs. And zr1 replica's.

Search for the jeep bumpstop mod. I have them on my car and they work nicely.

Edit: I can't do the jeep bump stop mod because the entire bracket is gone. So much so that the wheel well is smooth where the bracket would have been. Any other ideas guys?

Run bump stops on the shocks.

Ah thats the type of thing I was looking for. Do you have a link for that type of bump stop? Do they just slip over the stem of the shock? How do they not slide up and down?

^^ +1 for that, looks like a good idea. Rolling the fenders may help unless its inside the inner fender that your rubbing. Or unless you have a bunch of negative offset.

No its not the fender lip that's rubbing, its the inside of the fender.

I got some from Rock Auto, but any parts store has them. They're bumpstops for struts. Lots of cars have them.

i may grab some but I do wonder about putting them on regular shocks, cause the force of bottoming out will no longer be on the center of the axle, but on the more weaker shock brackets on the axle

I got them from ground control, you probably want the firm (vs soft progressive). You'll need to figure out how much compression travel there is from ride height to the point just before the axle would hit the frame (at that point measure the length you have left on the shock stem). You want a little more than that length, because of course they will compress. Then order the correct number of, and length of bump stops.

They seem to stay put, the shock body moves up and down on the stem. Not the other way around. Even if they slid a bit, you probably wouldn't notice. I don't hear a peep from them.

Valid concern for sure. You could also do this
