Koni yellow 4/4 used for drag?
Can i use the koni yellow 4/4 competitively at a race track? I mean launching the car hard and having a consistant ET for bracket racing?
The car is a DD so i want it to handle nicely for backroads around where i live, but i do want to be able to take it up to the track and be competitive. So i just wanna hear if anyone is racing with this setup and what they think.

Im planning on making about 450hp which should put me low 11s in the quarter. Im not going to do much suspension until the stock 10 bolt gives way (except SFC's). Then ill most likely get a MWC 9" with some of their suspension components (LCA's, PHB, Torque arm)

No sweat... Have a customer who ran a best of 1.50 on Koni's... better than his 1.59 best on "drag" shocks (Afco/QA1 combination).

Used an M6 with a McLoed Street Twin. This was with my old 412 LS2 motor. All Koni 4s, with Strano's rear sway bar. The current motor is in Revision 2. Revision one of the 455 had internal issues. Since Rev 1, I have picked up 70hp.
That said, the car has been in my garage for the last 2 years. I guess I should get around to finishing it.

That' the nice part here. You can have your cake and eat it too, not having to have a crappy driving handling car, but one that can still leave.

fwiw, I'm going to just toss this out.... I'm still running the free shipping special on Koni's (and have them in stock too). $899.99 for "4/3" and $999.99 for the set of "4/4"'s.

You wouldn't want to take the rear bar off.... You might well turn the Koni's down in front. In fact Rampant did exactly what you'd want to do to help any car leave hard. Disconnect front bar, have as little rebound as possible. And you can build a car that is like that all the time, and will drive like crap.
That' the nice part here. You can have your cake and eat it too, not having to have a crappy driving handling car, but one that can still leave.

I have a set up Sam does not sell anymore, though he could replicate it with a similar set up.
I run a Ground Control perch in the rear and GCs coil over conversion on the front with springs Sam spec'd. They have issues, but I have been lucky with them. The rates are 550 front and 150 straight rate rear. It could likely use a little more spring. I have been thinking of swapping out to KW setup from Sam.
Strongly suggest using Sam, the information and support he offers is 2nd to none, he knows these cars.
