great write up here. I will be doing this very soon. I cant seem to find any calipers that come with the bolts. Think itll be ok to just run up to a local dealer and get new ones? Not sure about the cost of them yet.

If you use the CTS-v calipers, your stock F-body spindle bolts will bolt up without drilling the spindle.

But you will have to space the caliper out with washers... Ill take drilling the spindle out (its such a small amount of material your taking out, I did it with a cordless dewalt drill) than try and space the caliper out... just me. Mine have been on for about 10,000 miles and no ill effect from drilling the holes. I wouldnt worry about weakening the spindle by drilling.

Plus you have the bonus of the camaro calipers saying camaro instead of CTS-V... no painting, no stickers, DONE.

First off, I prefer the V-logo and the silver calipers. Secondly, if you use 2010+ Camaro rotors you dont have to space the caliper out. You do have to enlarge the hub opening on the rotor.

And also, it seems that the CTS-v calipers are about half what the Camaro calipers are.... moneywise

Pretty sure I made it clear that you don't have to space the caliper out if using the 2010 camaro brembos... as for opening the rotor, its a pretty simple operation and allows you to use readily available high quality OEM rotors. If you don't want to do that, i think the 14" Z06 stuff works wont it... point is there are a lot of different options, Im just trying to lay another one on the table with the pro's and cons.

From what I have seen, the ctsv calipers are beginning to be a little difficult to find, and if your not a fan of rocking ctsv on a bright silver caliper, the camaro stuff is a little more low key and says camaro... again, options are nice.

So OP, did your oe wheels c5 z06 18 x 9.5 work without a spacer? And will 18 x 10.5 work without a spacer too?

I think the 18 x 9.5 is 56mm offset and the 18 x 10.5 is 58mm offset. I thought we needed a 40mm offset wheel to clear the 4-piston brembo's/5th gen rotors. If the oe wheels work without spacers I will be VERY HAPPY. I want to run 18 x 10.5 all the way around though. but I can settle for 18 x 9.5 (lol) if I have too. I just don't want to run any spacers at all. And I want to be able to track the car without the caliper hitting the wheels mid corner.

I don't want them to seem like they fit and then end up slamming into the wheel the first time I take a hard corner.

What are you guys using to bleed the brakes, as to not get brake fluid all over the caliper?

And the black caps on the bleeder valve pull off before you start bleeding them correct?

The power of "search"...

Offset is less of an issue with wheels designed for BBK. +38 on a 9.5 wheel for mine.

I know, that's what I thought too but the OP said his wheels didn't need spacers... so that's why I am confused.
