Default Rear sway under breaking

I recently got my rear tires replaced with same as stock F1's and noticed that under hard breaking at speeds between 50 and 100 I have alot of rear sway like the rear end feels as if it has a significantly higher center of gravity and it sways side to side badly. This seems potentially hazardous and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas why this would be happening and if there are other fixes besides upgrading my suspension components.

The only fix I can think of, based upon your criteria is not mash the brake pedal so hard.

I'm not hitting the breaks all that hard, and before the change, I could do that and they might lock up for a little or the anti-locks would kick in, but I wouldn't start swaying all over the road when breaking in a straight line.

sounds like it would have to do more with the brakes maybe?
Did you change anything in the back?

How much air is in the rear tires?

If the only thing that was changed was the tires, then I'd check the air pressure in the rear tires first. If it's too hard then the rear will start to loose grip under breaking too soon, which will then cause the rear "sway" that you are discribing.

The same thing will happen if the break biasis is set to much to the rear.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll definitely give it a good look this weekend, what air pressures do you usually run with these tires?

I ususally run 32-33 up front and 30 in the rear for street use.

I run anywhere from 30 front 28 rear for some agressive driving and 32/30 for normal driving.
