Thanks!

It would be irrelevant to maximum mechanical grip that the car can produce. Posi will help you get the power down as you exit a corner.

I just wondered if there was an advantage for the rear wheels to be able to move a slightly different speeds when cornering. or if posi would somehow cause minor sliding.

Thx

If you're making a tighter turn and you nail the gas you could break the rear free a little easier with posi, but that's about it. A properly functioning posi unit will still let the inner and outer wheels rotate at different speeds.

A non-posi will tend to spin the inside tire accelerating out of a corner, but to does not limit turning.

A posi will tend to make the car push/understeer in a corner.

The best would be a Torsen style limited slip as it will help to equalize power delivery between tires rotating at different speeds, whereas the posi just tries to make both tires rotate at the same speed.

Torsen, Trutrac, Wavetrac are all wonderful in this respect, maybe not in a mid engine car, but awesome for an F-body.

Too bad the T2R diffs have gone downhill as far as how well they hold up. For that reason, I'm hesitant to get one. Otherwise, I think this would be the ideal diff
