improve braking from higher speeds (suspension?)
Okay guys, when i drive my LS1 Camaro on the "Autobahn" then i drive it fast and i noticed when i am braking harder from 120mph and above i feel how the front of the car gets very down to the ground and the rear up. I also feel this in lower speeds as well when braking and i kinda dont feel that save when i get my car to the topspeed and have to brake harder and the car acts like that.
Are there any suspensions mods i could do? I already got lowering springs, KYB AGX on the front (set at level 7 from 8) and Konis in the rear... the ride quailty is pretty stiff actually. I really like how it rides but that makes me think about how i could make this better.
I also looking forward to convert to C5 corvette brake up front.
I hope anyone can help and got some tipps for me. Feel free to ask if you dont get what i mean how the car acts but its kinda hard to explain... lol.
Thanks!

Hmm.. i thought those KYB are not bad for the money... sure they are not as good as Konis but oh well... i run kyb in my other chevy too and was happy with them so i decided to go kyb again.
i am running "geiger" springs from the german tuner of american cars.. i think they are similar to eibach.

Hi Michi,
Besser stoessdampfer und Federn ist die antwort.
Front springs in the 650-750lb range, KW or Koni shocks (both made in Europe)
Increase caster angle (nachlaufwinkle) to +5 grad if possible.

Have a URL link to the Geiger springs? I have not heard of them...

You need to have higher rate springs in the front. BMR makes a 550 lb/in which would be good. Also higher rate sway bars. 35mm in the front. Shocks will slow down the weight transfer but will not stop it. That is why this is not a shock thing.

Not sure how much transfer you are getting, but weight transfer is not necessarily a bad thing. The street friendly lowering springs that are in the higher ranges for the front are around 550 to 600 rates. After that, you'd likely need stiffer front springs
I'd really match up those rear konis with some front ones if I were you. It might not fix this specific problem if your KYBs are in perfect shape. Though if they have faded at all over time... the koni compression damping will work a lot better during the stop.
