Default Shock suggestions?

Sorry for the newb question but I don't really know what would be a good option for shocks, i was thinking adjustables, but than saw these air ones and im not really sure, my car is an 02 ss and I'm pretty sure it's still got the stock shocks on it, it's my dd, mostly a street car but I wouldn't mind taking it to the track a time or two just for fun, idk if the mods will help, but it's full bolt ons subframe connectors stock springs, I plan to order lcas, a panhard bar and a strut tower brace, thanks in advance

Koni yellows would be your best option however they're expensive and may be overkill for what you're looking for. From what I've read Bilsteins would be your next best option. They're not adjustable but have the best ride and performance in that price range. KYB make an adjustable shock in the Bilsteins price range but I've heard they have spotty quality and dont perform as well as the Bilsteins. I would suggest doing a search in the forum or talk to Sam Strano. Tell him what your are looking to improve on the car and he will suggest what will help you achieve your goal and what you will be waisting your money on.

Koni SA's or Billsteins are the norm for F body cars, it all depends on how deep your pockets are. On a side note you should lower your car and do an adjustable panhard bar when you do the struts. The adjustable panhard bar is needed to center the rear end once it gets lowered, and swaping springs just makes sense if you are going to take apart your front struts, no sense in doing it twice.

If you are looking for the best handling shock available than the Koni shocks would be your best option but you do pay for them and they will stiffen the ride up a good bit. If you were looking for a more affordable option that still handles well and works good for everyday street duty than the Bilstein shocks would be a very good option. You just have to figure out what you want from your car, what kind of driving you are going to do, and what your budget is and that will determine what shocks will be best for you.

We keep these shocks in stock so if there is any way we can help you out let us know.
