I'd like to see the elapsed hours counter to complete all this work -- lots of changes here...

There is a lot of work involved in this and a lot to keep up with. Unfortunately we do these builds over time and in between other projects so keeping track is tough. We do have a full time person basically dedicated to project builds for product testing.

Thanks for looking!

More fun stuff came in.

We didn't want to have any trouble this season with the GM rear end so we selected to talk to our good friends over at Auburn Gear and they recommended their Road Race Series Limited Slip Differential. Seen here: http://aftermarket.auburngear.com/ra...-unit-371.html

We also selected a set of Motive 3.73 gears to be used as well. We picked up the gears from www.ws6store.com

We ran Auburn's Pro-Series differential all last year (will also run it this year) in our '79 Monte Carlo and it worked excellent. We have no doubts we won't experience the same results in our 4th gen. We highly recommend Auburn Gear and we would be glad to assist if you have any questions. Great people to deal with.

Installations pictures will be posted as we complete the install.

Moving along on our 4th gen. Simon and Ramey test fit our axles on the new Auburn road race differential.

BFG Rivals are mounted on our wheels.

All the C5 brake parts came in to adapt C5 front brakes to our 4th gen. We will be using UMI conversion brackets to adapt the brakes. Pictures to come shortly.

Front C5 brakes are going on using our UMI P/N 2120 conversion brackets. We powder coated the brackets red so they stick out more for the pictures and since this car is designed to showcase our products.

Brakes are complete, they look great and feel great, we just bed the pads in. The rear features new rotors with Hawk HT10 pads while the front is Hawk DTC pads.

Rear brakes, stock LS with new fluid, pads and rotors.

Front Rivals, 295's with a few red UMI goodies sticking out.

Is that the "road race" k-member?

Why weren't the boxed lower A-Arms used for this autocross setup?

would be really cool to see you guys throw your viking coilover package on this car and take it auto xing/road racing and give feedback on spring rates and shock tuning you did and how the car responds. i have seen people on here saying the vikings are purely drag shocks, and dont do well with corners. just a thought

We installed the k-member and a-arms last year, this was originally just a fun street car. So we are leaving the standard k-member and tubular a-arms that were previously installed, but we did install Delrin bushings in the a-arm. We have no doubts the standard items won't hold up.

The rear does have our coil over kit installed with Viking. The front is Afco but the Viking would perform very similar. With the adjustment of the Viking it can be used for street, drag and autox. The people saying they are drag only is quickly how incorrect information gets rolling around... it happens a lot. We have other autox cars running Viking shocks.

I hope that helps,
Ryan

Very Cool Thread! I would not hesitate to buy from you guys in the future! It seems that if you can share all of this info, I would have no problems at all with costumer service

Default 300lb springs vs. 550lb springs

How would the ride be, as a daily with the 550lb springs on the front?
